What’s your style ID? Do you get dressed based on intuition or hasty last minute decisions? Do you wear all the clothes in your closet? These are all questions that we got to explore at our recent event!
On Tuesday, October 17, Esperos SoHo partnered with Nicole Seligman of Writes Like a Girl to host a panel discussing Nicole’s new workbook, Feel Good, Dress Better. Joining Nicole on her panel were Maggie Gentry Miller, Kara Perez, founder of Bravely, Chelsea Francis, and Caroline Kolbe, founder of Luella. Throughout the discussion, these women shared how the workbook really helped them find/define their personal style, which in return, helped their business thrive
as well. We also got to enjoy some delicious snacks during the event hosted by Bento Picnic.
Here are three takeaways from the panel:
1. Dress in what makes you feel the most like yourself. In today’s world, we are surrounded by different media and people telling us the way we are “supposed” to
dress or look. But when it comes down to it, if you don’t feel comfortable in what you’re wearing, you can’t truly be yourself. To excel in whatever you do, you must feel confident in what you’re wearing!
2. Identify your style ID. Figure out a couple different key words that describe your overall style. In doing this, you will be able to transform your closet to only contain clothes you
will actually wear. This will make shopping an easier experience and will help declutter your closet as well!
3. Be confident. When you put on an outfit for the day, you are choosing to wear that for the day. So own it!! Be confident in who you are, and people will respect you more! Whether you are going to a business meeting, brunch, or out on the town, wear what makes you feel like your best self and rock it!
